Our favorite, soulful folk group returns to Santa Fe for a performance at the Santa Fe Brewing Company. The next night, Po' Girl plays a special unplugged, catered event at Thirsty Ear founder Mike Koster's home. Come hang out with Allison, Awna & Ben. Enjoy a catered meal, fine NM wines, and a very intimate evening of music.

Back in 2002 the extraordinarily gifted vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Allison Russell teamed up with Trish Klein (of Be Good Tanyas fame) with the sole intent of singing creaky old jazz songs—and Po' Girl was birthed. Seven years and several world tours later, the duo has matured into a quartet of deft songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who boast gorgeous folk tunes, moving blues & spirituals, Depression-era jazz overtones, and the occasional foray into Eastern European gypsy music. Like their spiritual sisters The Be Good Tanyas, gorgeous vocal harmonies are a central feature of the band's timeless sound. Santa Fe has been a regular stop on Po' Girl's musical journey, with new friends and fans added with each visit. Please join us in welcoming back our old friends. Big thanks to Rick Thaler & OGB Architectural Millwork for supporting Po' Girl's performances.
