Bob Marley & the Wailers have sold 250 million albums over the past four decades, and Marley's band has been integral to his international success. Now many of these legendary musicians, together with other renowned reggae session men, have re-formed as The Original Wailers. Among these celebrated musicians is keyboardist Earl "Wya" Lindo, who joined the Wailers in 1973 when the band cut its debut album for Island Records. Guitarist Al Anderson, who joined the band a year later, just prior to Natty Dread becoming Marley & the Wailers' breakthrough album, gave hits like "No Woman No Cry" a special magic. Marley recruited singer-guitarist Junior Marvin during sessions for the Exodus and Kaya albums. A former rock artist, his solos on tracks like "Waiting In Vain" and "Jammin" have earned him a considerable rep as one of reggae's premier instrumentalists. Exodus, voted 'Best Album Of The 20th Century' by Time Magazine, was Junior's first album with Marley & the Wailers. Junior, Al and Wya toured and recorded with Marley until his death in 1981, placing them among the rare few torchbearers of his legacy, which they were central in creating. Now The Original Wailers, with Junior handling all lead vocals, continue to spread the message of "One Love."
